X-FAB expands clean room for new technologies
X-FAB Group, a leading analog/mixed-signal and specialty foundry, is celebrating the opening of a new 400m² clean room at the Erfurt site today.
As part of the project of common European interest in microelectronics and communication technology (IPCEI ME/CT), this space will be used to research and develop new manufacturing platforms for smart integrated sensor systems.
X-FAB is significantly expanding its technology offering in the areas of smart sensor technologies, 3D integration, and heterogeneous chiplet integration using micro-transfer printing. These are important capabilities for advancing state-of-the-art system integration technologies and advanced packaging.
