Sky News has been given exclusive access to the UK trial of Elon Musk's brain chip company, Neuralink.

One of the first British patients, paralysed from the neck down, can now control a laptop simply by thinking, after a five-hour operation at an NHS hospital.

The implant is part of early clinical trials involving 21 patients worldwide, seven of whom are in the UK, with British neurosurgeons calling the results so far “mind-blowing” and potentially life-changing for people with severe paralysis.
