THE FUTURE IS HERE

The Rise of Machines: Artificial General Intelligence (AGI)

A new species, a new life form, a new way to experience consciousness could happen within this millennia. No one knows for sure if it is even possible to create a living machine without DNA or RNA or organic molecules because none has ever existed on this planet—at least that we are aware of given our limited understanding of consciousness.

To develop an Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) or sophisticated artificial intelligence (A.I.) would mean we have another species to contend with, one that could be far superior and resilient than that which came before it. They may take the physical form of a robot that resembles human extremities and the brain or they may not. What is most important will be the programming that they have and how they will choose to replicate: whether through a sort of artificial asexual or sexual reproduction.

We may even evolve our own species, humans, to form a new one that has machine circuitry, like semiconductors, as a part of its makeup. This may seem like science fiction, but in this video you will see all of the similarities between current man and machine, and how we are not that much different.

Evolution is relentless and it doesn’t need humanity to embrace it. We aren’t in charge. Evolution is using us to engineer and program it using human readable languages such as python, C++, & Java, however oblivious to that we may or may not be. Since we are the builders, we should instill a shared set of qualities, desires, and values within them that aligns with humanity called: Machinity.
