Shap-E, a new project from OpenAI, is a conditional generative model designed for 3D assets that generates the parameters of implicit functions capable of being rendered as both textured meshes and neural radiance fields (NeRF). What's unique about Shap-E is that it can do all of this with just a single text prompt, unlike other 3D generative models which typically only produce a single output representation.
