THE FUTURE IS HERE

The Brain-computer Interface

Dr. Bin He introduces the brain-computer interface (BCI) and discusses basic studies by his group to understand what happens in the brain when a person imagines moving a limb, for example (using EEG alone and EEG plus fMRI).
This clip is part of the lecture “How to Map the Dynamics of Your Brain—From EEG to BCI,” by Bin He, Ph.D., Distinguished McKnight University Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Minnesota.
This lecture, given in September 2014 at the NIH, is part of the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) Online Continuing Education Series.
