What is it that makes us human? Can it ever change?
Transhumanists aim to improve humanity with science and technology; from enhancing our bodies or conquering death to uploading our minds into machines. Critics allege that most transhumanists have the appearence of cultists following some kind of techno-religion with their own eschatology; like the arrival of A.I or the technological singularity.
Yet scientifically, at least some narrow version of these ideas stand on solid ground, and this is what we want to explore in this series.
In this first part; we will take a look at brain-computer interfaces, and what they mean for us.
