Leading Indian Space scientist, ISRO and Registrar, Indian Institute of Space Science & Technology, Dr. Y. V. N. Krishnamurthy takes us on a ride of India's journey in remote sensing development and data mapping till date. He further talks about opportunities for the present generation in remote sensing and space technology. Dr. Y.V.N. Krishna Murthy holds a Ph.D. in Engineering and a Master's degree in Business Administration. He is a distinguished scientist at ISRO and currently works as a senior professor and registrar at IIST, Thiruvananthapuram. He has significantly contributed to the promotion of Remote Sensing and allied Geospatial Technologies in resource management. Dr. Murthy's innovative methodologies have facilitated the assimilation of geospatial inputs in developmental programs. His publications in reputed international journals are widely recognized.
