ERDC worked closely with DARPA to test finalist's proposals in their
Reefense Program, a crowd-sourced design challenge to create novel hybrid
reef-mimicking structures for coastal resiliency. The scale models were tested in our wave flumes and with a unique contest structure - all contestants could be winners as long as they pass the strict parameters set forth by DARPA.
