THE FUTURE IS HERE

Neuroprosthetics for the mind, Prof. Olaf Blanke

3 December 2013, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Website: thebrainforum.org

Olaf Blanke discusses his two dreams as a neuroscientist. The first it is to gain a full understanding of what it means to be human; what is consciousness? What is the sensation of identity? The second dream is to understand this representation of what consciousness is and to team up with engineers and integrate knowledge across platforms for the future of patient conditions. He also lectures on reverse engineering the phantom limb principle, the nature of rehabilitation training and what his team and colleague are researching at developing at the moment.
