The AI Risk Management Framework (AI RMF) from NIST is a centerpiece of current AI policy in the United States. In this Distinguished Lecturer Seminar, Jeanna Matthews provides a detailed overview of the framework and the process by which it was developed and discusses some implications of its voluntary/non-regulatory nature and the ways it is being used going forward.
