OpenAI Sora is a state of the art text-to-video generative AI model and it is the best AI video generation model BY FAR. OpenAI has released a technical research blog post explaining how Sora actually works and today I am getting hands on and doing a deep dive of how this diffusion transformer model actually works. OpenAI Sora explained.

Sora makes it possible to create one minute long photorealistic videos that remain consistent - something that no other company or research group has been able to show as of yet, and it is made possible through the use of 'latent spacetime patches' and other innovations that OpenAI has applied in the creation of the model.

The model not only creates video but can perform image-to-video, video-to-video, and also seems to have emergent capabilities that can simulate the world and maintain cohesion and object permanence.
