Harvard discovers youth technology | OpenAI is working on super intelligent | AI Tesla Bot at work

Tesla has started deploying its first series of Optimus robots across its facilities. Rather than being assigned to production duties, these robots will serve in Tesla dealerships, signifying the company’s expansion intentions. North American Tesla stores have already begun hosting these Optimus robots, which are not mere dummies or initial prototypes but miniaturized versions of the real deal.

The roles these robots will play within the showrooms, whether they’ll be mobile or static like statues, are yet to be determined. It’s noteworthy that Elon Musk envisions the Tesla Bot as a multipurpose robot for domestic use. Musk also sees a future for Tesla in robot manufacturing, more so than cars. These robots may soon possess their own AI, apart from the adopted autopilot system found in Tesla’s vehicles.

Further endorsing this prediction is the recent unveiling of Musk’s new AI venture, xAI, which has been speculated about for some time. The newly confirmed xAI aims to unravel the mysteries of life, the universe, and everything! Developers from top-notch teams such as OpenAI, Google Research, Microsoft Research, and DeepMind have been recruited, and Musk will personally head the company. Although the exact path for AI development in xAI is uncertain, one can expect that the advancements will also benefit Musk’s other ventures, including Tesla and SpaceX.

In another major breakthrough, Harvard researchers have devised a chemical cocktail capable of reversing aging and rejuvenating cells within a week, a potentially revolutionary alternative to gene therapy. The carefully curated blend of chemicals essentially rewinds cells to a youthful state, without causing excessive rejuvenation and associated risks.

China’s Fourier Intelligence has introduced a humanoid robot, GR-1, promising to produce 100 units by year-end. GR-1, equipped with robust motors, is expected to assist in rehabilitation centers, carry bedridden patients and heavy medical equipment, and potentially serve as a companion for the elderly.

Meanwhile, OpenAI has established a special team, led by co-founder and chief scientist Ilya Sutskever, to monitor superintelligent AI systems, in preparation for AI capabilities surpassing human intelligence within the next decade.

In Hollywood, the Screen Actors Guild has taken umbrage over the proposed use of generative AI models, potentially jeopardizing actors’ jobs.

China has successfully launched the world’s first oxygen-methane-powered rocket, Zhuque-2, into orbit, demonstrating their advancement in rocket technology.

At a UN summit in Geneva titled “AI for Good,” robots made some insightful comments, and Stanford University discovered that generative AI models degrade without human supervision after several training cycles.
