How to make a terrible 3-foot tall robot arm with a 3D printer and $200

First, I found this tutorial by Togelfritz on instructables.

Then I ordered all of the parts I needed. This included Stepper motors, metal bars, electronics, belts, and a lot of screws. These took about a month to arrive, so in the meantime I started 3D printing the parts. My printer was kinda crap at the time, so I ended up using automotive epoxy and a lot of sanding to make them smooth and a bit stronger. This ended up hurting me later.

Then I assembled everything which took about 5 hours of solid work. Then I programmed the electronics.

Finally, I gave the command to move, which caused it to fall over and stop moving. So it turned out weight is a major limitation of robot arms. I made each 3D printed part 30% heavier by adding the automotive epoxy. So this project completely failed and I lost $200.
