University Host Session: Traditional electronic warfare (EW) systems operate with pre-programmed responses to anticipated threats and lack the ability to intelligently respond in situ to new, unknown threats in the combat environment. As threat capabilities continue to evolve and mature, EW systems must adapt quickly to ensure continued effectiveness in modern operational environments. GTRI is utilizing its long history of EW expertise along with state-of-the-art machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts to create autonomously adaptive EW systems with behaviors, processing, and emissions that vary freely to optimize operation in the presence of novel EM emissions and scenarios.
