Welcome to IBM AI 101: Master the Basics of AI!

In this course you will learn what Artificial Intelligence (AI) is, explore use cases and applications of AI, understand AI concepts and terms like machine learning, deep learning and neural networks. You will be exposed to various issues and concerns surrounding AI such as ethics and bias, & jobs, and get advice from experts about learning and starting a career in AI. You will also demonstrate AI in action with a mini project.
This course does not require any programming or computer science expertise and is designed to introduce the basics of AI to anyone whether you have a technical background or not.
This course is for everyone. No prior background in computer science or programming is necessary.

Module 1:
What is AI? Applications and Examples of AI
In this Module, you will learn what AI is. You will understand its applications and use cases and how it is transforming our lives.

Module 2:
AI Concepts, Terminology, and Application Areas
In this Module, you will learn about basic AI concepts and terminology. You will understand how AI learns, and what some of its applications are.

• Explain the application areas of AI.

Module 3:
AI: Issues, Concerns and Ethical Considerations
AI is everywhere, transforming the way we live, work, and interact — that’s why it’s so important to build and use it in line with ethical expectations. This week, you will learn about issues and concerns surrounding AI, as well as how AI ethics helps practitioners build and use AI responsibly. This information will help you understand AI’s potential impacts on society so that you can have an informed discussion about its risks and benefits.

Module 4:
The Future with AI, and AI in Action
In this module, you will learn about the current thinking on the future with AI, as well as hear from experts about their advice to learn and start a career in AI. You will also demonstrate AI in action by utilizing Computer Vision to classify images.
