Finally watched this. I always thought this was a normal movie of parents with a dead kid who get an AI and something goes wrong, I don't know why.
I did not realize it was creepy film from the mind of Kubrick. Just really weird & disturbing.
This movie made me cry like a kid from start to finish 😢, I love this movie ♥

The fact that this wasn't one of the top grossing films of 2001 is surreal…
Watching this movie was a really important moment in my childhood. It was my first real big confrontation with death. I was all of a sudden confronted with the fact that not only would I die someday, but my parents would die someday too. Never hugged my mom harder than after watching this movie.
I don't care what anyone says this movie's ending makes me ugly cry Every. Time. I. Watch. It.

This is one of the most underrated Sci Fi movie i've ever seen. Such a beautiful movie.
AI and something for people to know who believe robots can take over.
Human beings are the most Dangerous thing you can imagine.
When talking about AI it is very Important to remember that nothing in the electronics department can create it's own programming.
If an AI tried to take over and destroy the people, the creator of it is to blame.
The only switch humans have is death to fully stop their behavior.
Think about it.
What do humans really know about the universe?
Nothing.
Just because people called it a universe does not mean that's what it is.
The universe goes beyond human explanation and logic.
Humans are the closest thing to AI that I have ever seen. No that does not mean I feel that we are programmed with software, but a point must be made.
Name one Sperm that got to pick what they would become and put the negative characteristics within themselves?
While humans do have a choice on what to do with the characteristics, not one got to pick what would exist within.
Interesting film. ImI.
I remember seeing This Trailer in Theaters, During Shrek I believe.
An underrated masterpiece !
