Posit Science CEO Henry Mahncke, PhD, shares research demonstrating powerful evidence that cognitive training based on speed of processing can improve cognitive function and real-world performance, according to multiple large scale randomized controlled trials. Dr. Mahncke discusses the ideas behind training speed from perspectives of cognitive science and neuroscience, and brain imaging results that show how speed training changes the brain, including new results documenting plastic changes in neuromodulatory systems. He earned his PhD in neuroscience at UC San Francisco, where he studied with Posit Science Founder and Distinguished BrainHealth Collaborator Michael Merzenich, PhD.
