2025 IRS TAX REFUND UPDATES | New Refunds Approved, Tax Processing, Refund Transcripts processing
On today’s IRS tax refund update with just two weeks to go until the tax filing deadline we will take a look at the latest developments including the next rounds of tax refunds scheduled for release and the latest processing numbers out from the IRS, and from there we will take a look at those still impacted by delays including some of the top causes of refund delays this year along with those who are still seeing no updates to their refund status results or tax transcripts as well as other sources of assistance when it comes to those tax processing delays. Now starting off with the latest as the next rounds of tax refunds are scheduled for release on April 2nd and 3rd as confirmed by the refund status results and tax transcripts seen here and if you are part of these latest refund batches and have chosen to receive that refund via direct deposit you should see that refund post to your bank account by that refund date and in some cases possibly before depending on your bank but do allow 5 additional days after the refund date for it to post to your bank account before initiating a payment trace with the IRS meanwhile those who are receiving paper checks should receive it in the mail within 7 to 10 days of that refund date. Also taking a look at the latest numbers from the IRS as of their latest update they are reporting 78.6 million tax returns have been processed out of 79.6 million that have been filed with a current remaining balance of 941,000 unprocessed tax returns which include a number of our viewers who are still experiencing delays with the processing of their tax returns and release of those tax refunds. We continue to hear from a number of our viewers who have filed their tax returns but are still reporting no updates to their tax transcripts or refund status results, now so far we have seen tax transcripts take anywhere between two to four weeks to update once the tax return is filed and refund status results not always updating even after the return has been processed and refund released however it is advised if you have not seen any updates to your transcript after 30 days since filing to reach out to the IRS or taxpayer advocate for assistance.
