In 2018, the Department of Defense established the Joint Artificial Intelligence Center (JAIC), with a mission of bringing the benefits of modern AI-enabled capabilities into the U.S. military. Greg Allen, the Chief of Strategy and Communications for the JAIC will share experiences in standing up a new technology organization, bringing modern software user testing to the DoD, and developing and fielding AI-enabled capabilities for applications including disaster relief, medical imagery analysis, and military logistics.
