Artificial Intelligence | 3 REAL reasons WHY it won’t TAKEOVER To begin we need to understand one simple thing about humans, and that is the computational power of our brains. The average brain has an estimated number of neurons in the billions, or 100 billion neurons to be more precise, and by now we know that each neuron is capable of in between 200 – 1000 hertz of equivalent computing power. AI still needs a lot of energy to solve simple tasks. NOTE: The animations in my videos take a substantial amount of time to make, so please be patient. I am trying to get a video per week, but some times it takes longer.
Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to the ability of machines to interpret data and act intelligently, meaning they can make decisions and carry out tasks based on the data at hand – rather like a human does. It truly is a transformative technology – one that will dramatically alter our lives in very real ways. AI is already deeply embedded in your everyday life, and it’s not going anywhere. Google CEO Sundar Pichai even claimed that artificial intelligence (AI) will be more transformative to humanity than electricity. There’s hype and fear surround A.I. in healthcare. Many fear that they’ll take over our jobs in the near future. For example: looking at the rapid advancement of medical imaging it could seem like human radiologists will be obsolete in the future as A.I. will take care of their tasks. But it’s fearmongering and it’s irresponsible, especially if investors do that. Let me tell you five things why that A.I. won’t replace physicians.
