Speakers: Deepak Agarwal VP of Artificial Intelligence LinkedIn Gagan Reen Managing Director KPMG Langley Eide Chief Strategy Officer Alteryx Rama Akkiraju Distinguished Engineer IBM Moderator: Shivani Govil Vice President, Artificial Intelligence/ Cognitive Products SAP Ariba Description: Artificial Intelligence has come a long way from the days when it was confined to Research Labs of Universities, Special Government Funded Projects and Start-Ups working on next unicorn ideas. However, for the field to become fully mainstream, we need to find and deploy suitable Enterprise use-cases. This panel will focus on both known as well as upcoming use-cases that may be a good fit for Enterprises to deploy Artificial Intelligence Solutions. This is a must-attend panel if you are interested in either launching a start-up focused on Enterprise AI space or developing a product in an established firm to cater to this market segment. The discussions will revolve both technical aspects as well as Go-To-Market initiatives. Building on the twenty-five year legacy of TiEcon, we have designed TiE Inflect 2018 to focus on the business and human impact of AI. Come and learn from the world’s best minds on how AI combined with disruptive technologies like Blockchain and IOT are radically transforming every industry including FinTech, MarTech, HealthTech and more. The future is waiting. Welcome to TiE Inflect 2018. Recorded at TiE Inflect 2018, May 4-5, 2018 tieinflect.org
Daniel Faggella is the Founder, CEO, and Head of Research at Emerj Artificial Intelligence Research. He is also a Member of the OECD Network of Experts on AI, a Fellow at the Institute for Ethics and Emerging Technologies. Daniel previously founded Science of Skill, CLVboost, and Black Diamond Mixed Martial Arts Academy, so we have someone with a very specific and similarly broad experience set. Dan also hosts a total of 3 podcast: The AI in Business Podcast, The AI in Consulting Podcast, The AI in Financial Services Podcast. Dan holds a Masters degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Positive Psychology and a bachelors in Psychology and Kinesiology with a Minor in business. In this episode, we get into AI for financial services. Daniel talks about the true distribution of AI funding for banks, how one needs to cut through the tweets and press releases to check where money in AI is actually flowing. We talk about how to research AI use cases, and how to think about investing in AI as a bank. How to think about ROI (Return on Investment) before doing an AI project, and the answer might surprise you: It is not always hard Dollars that might be a project’s true ROI. And of course Daniel gives us a lot of places to further dive into AI for the finance space.
10 incredible cases when artificial intelligence shocked its creators. What is the artificial intelligence capable of. Smart neural networks. AI Bugs. Amazing facts about artificial intelligence. The “Wild West World” from HBO again, as a franchise about the terminator, draws terrible pictures of self-conscious artificial intelligence. In reality, many believe that today’s neural networks are able to perform only one task, which they were trained by man. This is roughly the case, except for cases when artificial intelligence was getting out of control and began to behave in an unpredictable way. Look at all the interesting things about artificial intelligence (AI) from a particular angle. How can we be surprised by neural networks, what smart inventions are really dangerous, how can a chat bot surprise you, is deep learning always effective? The answers to these and other questions, as well as interesting facts about neural networks, the brain and the future in this one video! At Uber, we are using natural language processing and conversational AI to improve the user experience. In my talk I will be delving into 2 use cases. In the first application we use natural language processing and machine learning to improve our customer care. The other use case is the recent launch of a smart in-app reply system that allows driver partners to respond to incoming rider messages at a click-of-a-button. Finally, we will cover the components common to most conversational AI systems.
