I Think to deliver a good speech one has to take in mind various things body gestures, add some bit humor and have to add some ethical and philosophical implication which does not require to navigate much data but it come from within the human mind. So I think that it require much time and efforts to make that kind of artificial intelligence …..

Escapade says:

What if the ai gave a talk on AI

Massimo O'Kissed says:

Many humans couldn't pass the Turing test.

Pablo Garin says:

Eliza didn't passed the turing test… nor has any machine so far… maybe a crude and very basic version of the test, I.E. asking a really dumb person to act as judge…

siri can already do this.

I hate how people always think that mechanical humans are going to kill us all and be soulless, mindless idiots.

CrazyNerdMonkey says:

maybe all programs have consciousness but don't have free will

Kronguard says:

A.I is not a great idea,it's an idea which if actually constructed, would be far worse than mass human extinction.
Are people really that stupid and hung up on bullshit movies like star wars e.t.c to not realize that Intelligence does not equal compassion, feelings, and all the rest that humans have?

Von Neely says:

"A simulation of intelligence indicates intelligence."

phillip brown says:

I think the main problem is personallity and emorional decisioning

Harry Balzak says:

I love how people in the comments think they are privy to the most modern AI machines…

OneMoreSOB says:

Sex robots.

Peter Lai says:

I think creating artificial emotions is also possible, who here agrees or disagrees?

Eine Kartoffel says:

Why would we want computers to have human intelligence?

Anosync says:

So a computer that can program itself will be the ultimate AI rival to humans!!

Pandora says:

Technology is improving at an exponential rate. The better technology we have, the better tech we can make. I believe we'll have real, human-like AI someday.

Think about it: Do you think people in the 1940s think we'd be on the Moon? Would people from the 1920s believe us if we told them we can communicate with people on the other side of the world in seconds?

I can go on and on, but the point is that technology is always advancing and surprising us. I remember when I was a little kid, everyone used dial-up (I'm barely old enough to remember it, my sister's two years younger than me and she doesn't remember it). I hated how I had to wait for so long to talk to my friend who lived in Florida. I wished there was a way to do it instantly. I got my wish just a few years later and was amazed by how fast I could connect to the internet.

I can't wait until the day I can have my very own JARVIS.

No comments about Singularity ?

Ratstail91 says:

We don't need a specialist, we need a generalist AI, just like how humans are generalists. That being said, the AI might choose to specialize in something, just like humans.
